My client in Midtown is one of the world's most respected sources for on and
offline business, world and economic news and opinion.  They are currently
going through what could be considered a site re-design.  The site will be
transitioning to a new platform, including a new content management system,
a different relational database, and a new user interface programming
language (www.drupal.org, SQL, PHP). This requires a migration of all
existing content and the re-creation of all page templates.

 

We are seeking 2 Experience Architects to assist in this process

 

1.       The first EA will work with stakeholders on the main web site to
create page templates, conduct content audits,  create continuity of look
and feel, navigation, page views and more.  Attention to detail and ability
to work in a fast paced environment utilizing agile development is very
important.  This contract will last for approximately 5 months and you must
be able to stay for the duration of the engagement with potential for
extension.  This should be considered a very basic description of this role
and not a description in its entirety as more duties will be added as the
project becomes more well defined

 

2.       The second EA will be responsible for building the core IA shell to
add documentation and decisions that houses the design and define the layout
grid.  It's imperative that this person has worked on sites that allow teams
to collaborate (think WIKI style). Attention to detail and ability to work
in a fast paced environment utilizing agile development is very important.
This should be considered a very basic description of this role and not a
description in its entirety as more duties will be added as the project
becomes more well defined.  This contract has an approximate duration of 6
weeks with potential to extend.

 

Online publishing experience is a plus.
