When prototyping with only 1 or 2 people, I've had good results with a
simple desktop monitor and sticky notes. With a larger group, projecting a
wireframe or model page onto the whiteboard then overlaying ideas using
markers and stickies also works well.

When done, I take a photo of the results to guide implementation.

Encouraging participants to take a turn at expressing their ideas with
whatever medium and technique is comfortable for them drives the shared
ownership.
