My client with 7 offices across the nation and 1 international location is
seeking,  in their NYC office, a Jr. and Senior Information Architect for
their well established and growing practice.  With a successful track record
of improving customer retention, increasing sales, reducing costs to
fostering employee relationships, their core business objectives are the
driving force behind all their development projects, whether the solution is
a cutting-edge b2b website, an engaging employee intranet, a sales channel
extranet, or a dynamic eCommerce site.

 

Their main vertical is financial services and the people are smart and
collaborative.  Your ideas matter with my client.  You will be empowered to
manage your own time, work from home when needed and trusted to keep your
clients happy.  Salary is based on experience with a cap on compensation in
the $110,000 range.  There are excellent benefits and bonuses based on
utilization.

Senior Information Architect (New York, NY)

 

My client in mid town is seeking a Senior Information Architect to create
innovative, usable Web solutions for our customers



Essential Job Functions:

Ø  Works with customers to understand their business models and goals as
well as helping to define the strategy, content, and features for design of
their web sites

Ø  Analyze audiences and their information and functional needs

Ø  Researches and analyzes industry trends and competitor sites and
strategies

Ø  Define site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint for
the site upon which all other aspects are built - form, function, metaphor,
navigation and interface, interaction, and visual design.

Ø  Document solution with goal definition, audience segmentation, usage
scenarios, competitive analysis, sitemaps, page level wireframes, usage
diagrams, and content outlines.

Ø  Moderate and prepare documents for usability tests, including test plans,
scenarios and questionnaires

Ø  Participate in user studies to understand user behaviors/preferences and
build, from this understanding, informed user interface solutions

Ø  Participate in formal and informal design critiques

Ø  Work collaboratively with designers and developers to develop interface
functionality

Ø  Scope, develop and understand development / engineering leads to
determine efficacy of a given solution

Ø  Participate in quality assurance checks during production





Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired:

Ø  3 + years experience directly related to developing information
architecture for complex web solutions.  Professional services industry
experience is strongly preferred

Ø  Strong knowledge of site design, usability principles, issues and
techniques

Ø  Ability to analyze customer needs and define strategies for meeting them

Ø  Organization of  large bodies of information into a logical and easy to
use presentation layer

Ø  Usability test design and implementation

Ø  Strong client facing skills and experience (including presentation,
negotiation, and managing conflict)

Ø  Exceptional communication(verbal and written) and organization skills

Ø  Experience working with financial service companies

Ø  Degree work in human factors, information design, industrial design or
related area strongly preferred
