If you and your team need to easily update, tweak and annotate your patterns
as you apply them to examples, discover their nuances in practice, and
gradually improve them ...  then I'd recommend a wiki, one that supports
file attachments. Don't stuff them into static documents buried in a file
system, that's deliverables culture thinking ;-)
