Hi Skot (and everyone),

both Joel (product manager) and Trish (support) got back to me -
apparently "expiring today" doesn't mean "expired". So I'm using the
expiring-but-not-quite-expired trial right now and it is working well.
It does what I need to get me out of trouble, so I'll buy it when it
expires.

So... the 24 hour licenses last 36-48 hours, and Joel says that their
thinking of moving to another trial licensing model that does away
with this issue. Cool.

As to "computers should have figured out..." - couldn't agree more.

Best regards, Andrew
