Company: Campbell-Ewald
Job Title: Information Architect Intern
Location: Warren, Michigan
Are you frustrated by web sites on a daily basis?
Do you ever ask ³who the $%^& designed the navigation on this site?!²
Want to know more about how to make web sites better, BEFORE you open up
Photoshop or write a single line of code?
Campbell-Ewald Digital has an opening for an Information Architect intern to
join our Experience Planning group. In this role you will learn the
fundamental of user experience design for our clients¹ web sites and digital
initiatives.
You¹ll become intimately familiar with the latest industry research as you
put those bibliography-slogging skills to use reviewing and summarizing
primary and secondary sources during the Plan & Define phases of our
projects.
You¹ll be instructed on how to perform our patent-pending Digital Diagnosis
rapid competitive auditing process; you¹ll provide your point-of-view on
multiple web sites, grounded by industry-standard heuristics.
You¹ll collaborate with the creative team, engineering and project managers
to develop information architecture, content delivery structure, and
navigational strategies for websites.
Additional responsibilities will include:
* Familiarizing yourself with user experience architecture principles and
best practices, develop formal points of view and devise solutions to
usability challenges with current and new websites.
* Maintaining customer experience and site usability documentation
(information architecture plans, documents, wireframes and flow maps).
* Assisting with consumer usability assessments and research activities.
* Designing web site organization and navigation systems.
Our ideal candidate should have exceptional analytical and creative
problem-solving skills. You will be juggling multiple projects so you must
be self motivated and have a positive attitude! We are more interested in
your passion and ability than your experience so this is a phenomenal growth
opportunity.
Campbell-Ewald strives to be the multicultural employer of choice in our
industry and strongly supports equal employment opportunity.
