The People's Choice Award is complete bull. I wish I could get back those
few minutes of my life I spent paging through some of the entries. Remember
- "The People," have votes for such things as McDonald's, American Idol,
Britney Spears, 'W' and Paris Hilton. I would not let 'the people' choose
great design.
Case in point - The Thinkpad from Lenova was nominated as a great design?
There are a lot of places where democracy is a really bad thing: design,
music, food, art, literature, and politics are just a few.
