http://www.iawiki.org has been saying "The IA Wiki is currently down
for review and analysis" for some time. Anybody know when/if it's
coming back?

Has anyone used OptimalSort.com to conduct a remote card sort? If so, what
was your experience like? Would you recommend it? How would you compare it
to other online card sorting tools?

Thank you in advance for your opinions!

Best,

Kyle

We used it here for a card sort for a new website and
were pretty happy with it - it was very easy to use. We
tried it with both unmoderated and moderated tests using
GoToMeeting to see the participant's screen.

The only limitation for us was that it could only do 1
level of sorting (you couldn't make groups of groups) but
all the other online card sorting tools seemed to have
that same limitation.

You just about gave me a heart attack, until I realised the correct URL is
iawiki.net, not .org

    http://web.archive.org/web/*/iawiki.org
    http://web.archive.org/web/*/iawiki.net

There has never been content at iawiki.org, that's a domain squatter.

The IAwiki is however currently offline - the server I was running it on
died right during when I was the final run up with organising Australia's IA
Conference, so I've been a little distracted. I've since been investigating
possible migrations to more up to date wiki platforms.

We used Optimal Sort for some internal projects, we found the product to
have a very nice user interface, easy to understand and manipulate.

The product though, lacks sub grouping, and we were disappointed that it
didn't have cluster analysis and the analysis it provided was minimal.

It was one of the best products we tested, but still, it failed to meet
all of our requirements. Good luck!
