My client in New Jersey is seeking to fill 2 contract Interaction Design
positions for a 6 month engagement.  The description is below and interested
parties will please submit resume with work samples.   They are accepting
resumes till close of business Wednesday November 7th.

 

Summary:

We are looking for an Interaction Designer who both lives and breathes the
role of the end user advocate, taking pride in the design of innovative,
usable products that will enable our clientele to meet the full range of
their online brokerage needs.

 

Responsibilities:

*	Provide support and cross-product coordination on deliverables
authored by other Interaction Designers
*	Collaborate with the Client Strategy and Product Development teams
on the appropriate interaction design solutions; adhering to client goals,
business needs and technical feasibility
*	Create and maintain UX documentation (vision statements, personas,
mental models, wireframes, task flows, etc.) that communicates both a
solution to the business owner and specifications for the development team
*	Work on individual products
*	Work closely with the UI Designer, Interactive Editor and
Client-Side Developers to evolve the ID specifications into tangible,
goal-centered, usable product for our clientele

 

Qualifications:

*	5-8 years experience designing Web-based transactional products
(i.e., e-commerce, banking, etc.) and large scale consumer websites
*	Experience in Financial Services preferred
*	Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate multiple solutions to a
design problem
*	Ability to work within an established user-centered design process
*	Proven understanding of Interaction Design, Interface Design, and
Information Architecture.
*	Excellent communication and time management skills
*	Experience with usability testing and data analysis a plus
*	A Masters degree in HCI, New Media design, Communication design, or
relevant industry experience is preferred
