[Sigia-l] What prototyping tools are in your toolbox?

I only have one prototyping tool; paper and pen. Everything after that
is built with quality and production deployment in mind, and the best
way to do that is by being good at crafting code, mostly by hand, but
often through my own generating tools.

Every single vendor prototyping tool I've ever seen and used all have
rubbish code generation, widgets of highly un-reusable quality, and
they're all freakin' drawing tools with some event / process control
slapped on top.

No, I'm not impressed by Axure nor Thermo nor any other Adobe
offerings nor Microsoft's offerings nor that AJAXy thingy talked about
yesterday ; they all are complex drawing apps and you end up spendintg
so much time and effort learning the tool, changing text labels,
moving them around and coloring in lines. What we *need* is someone
who creates a tool that understand UCD *and* IA and make those
integrations easy to use, and allow for production quality outputs.
Everything I've seen fail at the perhaps most important thing ; making
IA tooling easy.

We still got a long way to go.
