[Sigia-l] When will you buy one?

I think it's a bit more. I've been using the FingerWorks iGesture for the 
last couple of years -- initially as a mitigation for repetitive stress. 
It's a great interface; but not radically different than a trackpad. As 
someone else mentioned on this thread, the physical separation between input 
device and display might be the key issue.

The iPhone, of course, is pretty much the same deal. I, for one, am happy 
that more than one of the big players is attempting to deliver new 
interfaces to the consumer. Maybe we'll finally have alternatives to the 
keyboard, and interest in really innovative interfaces coming out of 
research in the haptics community (see: 
http://www.technologyreview.com/Infotech/18758/). Super Wii?
