[Sigia-l] Intuitect

We've been using Intuitect for over 6 months now (got in at the beta)

The installation can be a little tricky, in that you will need the right
version of .NET running on your system. But after installing the
updated version of .NET everything went fine during the install. If you
run into any problems I had good luck working with their support team.

Some Things I Like:
- Easy sitemap creation and renumbering
- Exporting of information into various formats (excel, clickable
prototype, etc.)
- Interlinking documents (If I make a change in the sitemap, the
wireframes will automatically get updated)
- Great support

Some Things to Improve On:
- Ability to change paper size
- Ability to edit navigation after placing it on a wireframe
- Ability to run on Visio 2007
- Ability to create advance interactive behaviors for widgets

All in all I have to say Intuitect has reduced our development time and
has increased the quality of our deliverables. Like most software
that's new to the market, I think there is a lot of room to improve upon
and I think they are going to release a new version at the IA Summit
that will fix a lot of bugs and introduce some new features.

If anyone is interested, I hope to be presenting a case study at the IA
Summit during it's flex-track showcasing a recent Web redesign project
for a major Phone Manufacture where you can learn how we streamlined our
IA processes of sitemap creation to user testing using Intuitect and
other Tips and Tricks. Hope to see you there.

I only receieved one reply that was not entirely favorable.

For my part, even after working with Intuitect support, we've been
unable to get Intuitect properly installed. Although I would love to use
this tool, I've already spent way too much time trying to get it to work
on my system.

Is there anyone on this list actually using Intuitect?

Have you had any replies?

Some colleagues and I looked at it a couple of weeks ago and (to cut a
rather long story short) concluded that it sucked. Well, it sucked for
us given how we go about designing things, but for all I know it may be
great for somebody else.
