Since then, our core competence has been to identify, assess, and advise on how to manage risk. Whether we classify a ship, certify an automotive company's management system, or advise on how to best maintain an aging oil platform, our focus is to safely and responsibly improve business performance. 

DNV Information Quality Management (IQM) helps our customers optimize the value of information by combining industry knowledge with information focused expertise in innovative ways. We have secured significant projects within the defense, oil and gas, maritime and public sectors involving new solutions for integrated, quality information. By using international information standards ( e.g. ISO 10303 and ISO 15926) and new available technology (such as XML and semantic web), we enable clients to more effectively and efficiently utilize their information assets.

DNV IQM has ambitious international growth plans, including establishing a significant presence in the US. We currently need to add innovative and skilled people in the following position, "Senior Information Architect". 

The Senior Information Architects will act as advisors and subject matter experts for customers and will have the technical responsibility for products, services and deliverables.

Major Duties:

Maintain recognized expertise in information architecture and modeling, and relevant technologies such as XML, web services and semantic web. 
Build up and maintain expertise in relevant standards such as, ISO 10303, S1000D and other relevant standards.
Build up and maintain technical expertise in DNV IQM solutions and services.
Deliver technical solutions and services to customers through IQM projects. 
Complete technical studies/advisory services within the department's market segment and technology area.
Propose solutions and maintain customer communications on projects completion and delivery.
Ensure optimum utilization of staff competence and resource s on projects. 
Stimulate development of specialist environment within IQM and broaden areas of competence.

Qualifications:

In addition to the above qualifications, successful candidates should have a relevant technical degree. Valid US Security Clearance is a plus. These positions are based in Alexandria and Virginia. Some travel is required.
