:-)

Sounds to me like a problem looking for a friend.

MSFT, a desktop company, assumes that a snapshot of your hard disk
fundamentally defines you, your interests and intent, in the context of any
given search. Of course, your real referenceable data could be on another
disk, shared volume, server, backup, removable, etc. Your search may also
originate from a machine that's not your own. And obviously you may not want
to reference your hard disk for certain class of searches on a per search
basis.

But then again none of these would make an attractive demo or appear to
justify the billions MSFT spends on R&D each year with zero commercial
benefit.
