The comparison *in this context* is not between a PC and a librarian, it's
really between, say, Amazon.com as a browser-based book discovery tool vs. a
librarian as a gateway to Dewey, stacks, card catalog, etc., or people
trying to do it on their own, wandering through the maze.
I'm also not discounting the possibility of librarians teaching people how
to use tools like Amazon.com, if it came to that, which isn't rocket
science, especially compared to Dewey.
