The impression I've got from my librarian friends is that DDC has been considered outdated for more than a decade.

And as to making it easy to find stuff (Andrew Boyd)... you're kidding, right? I can rarely find anything *subtle* using either Amazon or Google, and that's when I turn to librarians and specialist researchers.
