Cameras.

With celluloid cameras, there used to be very few controls on the back,
except for the viewfinder. With digital cameras this was swapped, now most
of the controls are on the back. A new breed of pro and prosumer digital
cameras are however placing an increasing number of controls in the front
and around the lens barrel as well, sometimes with visual feedback through
the viewfinder/screen in the back.

(Incidentally, there are few of us who think Apple should partner with one
of the key camera manufacturers and relieve the digital photography
industry of its unbelievable hardware/software integration misery. :-)
