I'm not a Monster user, but if I were I would delete my account (if
that's possible) and never use them again. Companies that get b0rked
like this must fail or security won't be taken seriously. 

As to horses leaving the barn though, I detect a worrying trend amongst
some people who just shrug and say that their names and email addresses
are "out there" anyway - and they get hundreds of spam and phishing
attacks every day because of it - so they say compromises like this
hardly matter. 

I'd say that was taking pragmatism a little too far though.

PS: It's not too hard to see how this is relevant to UI design as well
of course.
