So if, say, the clever iPhone UI succeeds, we'd be deluding ourselves? (Many
pundits who have never used it think the iPhone is just a pretty face.)
Are you old enough to recall that your DOS friends used to torment you with
the clever "toy" GUI of the original Mac? Couldn't we then extrapolate this
to countless other technologies that appeared to be too clever for their own
good but turned out to be used by millions without major upheaval after all?
