What about...
GPS - the first systems were VERY difficult to use :) however now they are a huge blessing
Email is a good one - wow - that wasn't easy to explain to my parents and now even my grandfather emails!
ATM - even this was a little "scary" to people at first - especially the first time my card with sucked back into the machine during my college years - now what do I do?!?!
Any cell phone that does more than just email was pretty overwhelming for many people

Emails - think back when you had to describe what is an 'email' to your
parents
Internet Banking - I do remember when people were all confused and
hesitant about using online banking services.
Video Game controllers - starting with 1 single button to multiple
buttons controllers (somebody already mentioned it)
Home networking - wireless and Ethernet. How many households nowadays
have home networks?
iPod? - the circular navigation control...
And I think this list can go forever, after all, for every new
discovery, new concepts had to be taught.
