Bah.

The methodolody used wasn't one to test whether colour
preference is hard-wired, as suggested:

  "208 young adult men and women were asked to select,
   as rapidly as possible, their preferred colour from
   pairs of coloured rectangles."

If the subjects were more than a year old, they'd have
already been socialised into 'accepted' gender roles.
