[Sigia-l] Junk science or just lazy?

I'm not going to say too much about this except two things:

1) My biggest critique of the analysts' typical approach to UX is
their overemphasis on quantitative analyses, ironically like Lou's
approach for this experiment.

2) Lou's analysis would be immensely more credible to me if it simply
consisted of (a) a statement of Lou's immense credentials, and (b) a
qualitative evaluation of each firm based on Lou's personal opinion of
their coverage emphasis.

In short, I trust Lou's opinions far more than his numbers. Whether C-
level execs can think the same way (which is why I think
recommendation (a) is important) is another question.

Still, despite the cool charts, Lou's experiment seems like just that:
an experiment. It's his reputation that gives it extra weight -- this
reputation would give his qualitative opinions similar weight, or at
least it should.
