First a bit of classification:
Is this missing functionality something that bugs only you and a few
other malcontents or is this a notorious issue among a broad swath of
users?
If it's the latter, I'd call it 'bloody typical'.
If it's the former, I'd call it 'well-engineered', even were _I_ the
one feeling inconvenienced (rather than a anarchist like _you_).
Always best to leave the audience hungry for version 2.0, after all.
