[Sigia-l] Empathy

I just did a website analysis in which I made several recommendations to
the site owner. It required me to utilize IA principles, but not design
anything.

It could be useful to pull out one of those Venn diagrams you so love,
and say "Design is part of IA. But not all IAs do design work.
Information Architecture is a package that includes design, indexing,
usability, analysis, and principles of library science. These elements
exist on a continuum. If you are the type of person who is able to
utilize empathy and/or intuition as well, then those things can work for
you."
