[Sigia-l] I'm looking for...

...an example of an online tool that uses an interactive technology
(e.g. AJAX, flash, or active x) and allows me to grab a data point,
drag it, and see the resulting forecast change.

I was thinking the financial sector would be full of tools like this,
particularly retirement planning tools or portfolio calculators. I
could see it applying nicely to the retirement planning tools, where I
could see what would happen if I modified my portfolio to reduce the
amount of money I am putting into the "highly aggressive" portion of
my fund, and correspondingly increased the amount I put into the
midrange fund.

The reason I'm seeking this is to show a development team how
forecasting capabilities can be portrayed on the web in real time
using interactive technologies. They're going to need to be able to
play with it to see how it works so it will need to be publicly
available.

Does anyone know of a candidate app I could point them toward? I've
been hunting around on the web this morning, and have decided it will
probably be more time-effective to ask!

Thanks,
Laurie
