Katzenbach Partners is an extremely successful, fast-growing management 
consulting firm that focuses on strategy, people and organization 
issues. Our work helps clients strengthen their organizational 
performance in the areas that matter most, and reinforces the 
competences and culture that make them unique.

This means that the Experience Design team builds products that actually 
improve people’s experience at work and gets to speak for the end user 
in a way that wouldn't happen in a regular tech consultancy -- we're 
involved much earlier, when strategies are being determined rather than 
just executed.

Some of our team’s recent projects have included:

* Working with a major university’s library to answer the question, 
“What is the future of libraries and how will the needs of scholars 
change in the next 20 years?”

* Developing a radical new retail strategy for a major wireless provider

* Visualizing and prototyping the impact of new technologies on the 
patient and caregiver experience for a major pharmaceutical client

* Developing the knowledge management strategy and interface design for 
our own firm

* A social network analysis project where we designed a survey that 
allowed our client’s employees to chart their relationships within their 
department and across the company.

EXPERIENCE DESIGNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Conceptualization and Visualization
- Developing ideas on your own and with diverse teams
- Eliciting creativity and innovation from others
- Communicating ideas persuasively, both verbally and visually

Software and Website IA
- Early stage conceptual work and prototyping
- Site mapping and storyboarding
- Production QA to ensure that your ideas are successfully translated by 
visual designers and developers

Information Design
- Qualitative flow, process and approach diagrams
- Quantitative, data rich charts and graphs

Evangelizing
- Evangelizing user-centered design principles and teaching colleagues 
and clients about IA and design

ABOUT THIS JOB:
This is a full-time role based in New York City.

Specific requirements include demonstrable design talent, significant 
experience working on sizable, high-profile projects and a real interest 
in (and thoughtfulness about) the cause of good design as it relates to 
the “employee experience”.
