Information Architect:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Working with clients to understand and define
business objectives, user needs analysis, workflow requirements, and
measures of success for projects; developing effective solutions and key
deliverables using tools and techniques such as wireframes, site
architecture blueprints, usability studies, audience analysis and persona
development, navigation and content structure and inventory, and user
interface functional specifications; working collaboratively with BigBad
team members, including Interactive Strategists, Project Managers,
Designers, Developers, and other BigBad personnel to ensure that each
project meets the client's objectives while maintaining a high level of team
satisfaction with the project, relationship, and process; contributing to
the overall design of projects to ensure high-quality, with on-budget,
on-time delivery; and contributing to our ongoing efforts to further the
success of the strategy, design team, and company; and maintaining the high
quality of our work.
SKILLS: Ability to interact well with clients, strong and effective
communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), proficient in
Visio and Microsoft Office software, ability to travel (as required for
client meetings), and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects
simultaneously.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of direct experience in information
architecture and user-centered, outcome-focused interactive design; a
comprehensive understanding of user experience design best practices and
principles; minimum of BS/BA degree required.

Interactive Strategist
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Leading overall visionary efforts for the
strategic and creative components of a project, overseeing research efforts,
ensuring we create an informed solution that meets the client's needs, and
recommending the "right" total solution when necessary. The Interactive
Strategist contributes to the proposal process, writes major parts of the
strategy phase deliverable (project brief or definitive strategy document),
"voices" the entire deliverable, provides consultation to clients and staff;
serves as a major client contact for questions and decisions dealing with
strategy; works together with the Art Director, Information Architect,
Usability, and Technical Lead in creating and maintaining the project
vision; and works with the Project Manager to ensure we do the best possible
work while remaining within budget and schedule.NOTE: This role is
instrumental in understanding client business objectives, target audience
characteristics, and the direct development of creative strategies to
achieve measurable results. This is a solution-oriented visionary position.
While project management skills are valuable, this is not a project or
product management position.
SKILLS: Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, and consensus-building
skills; intuitive and analytical approach to problem solving; experience
with marketing, information architecture, branding; ability to communicate
coherently and sensitively with clients, vendors, and staff members; general
ability to organize people, projects, and information; and, ability to
juggle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Minimum BA/BS degree; 5+ years experience as a
Creative Director or Strategist working with clients on interactive and
Web-based projects.
