I'm looking into setting up an e-commerce site dedicated to online
book vending.  There are quite an amazing variety of shopping cart
solutions from which to pick, and I don't know quite where to begin. 
So, I thought I'd tap the collective wisdom of this group. Does anyone
have strong feelings about a shopping cart solution for a small book
vendor?  More about what I'd like:

Ideally, this online solution would  integrate well with online mega
sites, such as Amazon or A1books and posses lots of useful inventory,
pricing and management features.  I'd also be willing to pay up to,
say, $500-$600 for a pre-built system.   Generally speaking, I tend to
prefer one time fees for installed software rather than renting space
from a vendor (it's a control thing).

I am fairly comfortable with the LAMP environment and would be able to
do a fair bit of customization/programming.
