We have a position open on our intranet team. Capital is a great place to

The corporate web team at Capital is responsible for the creation and
development of the corporate intranet which is used by more than 7,500
associates worldwide as well as the main corporate website (capgroup.com).
In this position you will work with a small entrepreneurial team on a
variety of projects where you can make a real impact. You will be able to
apply your existing skills and knowledge while having the freedom to
explore new solutions and technologies. This is an opportunity for you to
do your best work in an environment that values a well-thought-out solution
over a hasty approach.
As an integral part of the team, you will:
· Be a true advocate for our users and participate in the ongoing
process of building a usable and useful intranet
· Design and code new content, apply critical thought to proposed text
for pages, and use your creativity to develop usable layouts
· Be responsible for the enhancement of existing content
· Develop usable web-based applications utilizing front-end
technologies such as CSS, DHTML, and JavaScript
· Interact with a variety of departments throughout the organization
Hiring criteria:
· A minimum of three years experience hand coding HTML and CSS
· Working knowledge of DHTML and JavaScript
· Graphic design skills (Photoshop) highly desirable
· Strong writing, editing and formatting skills for effectively
presenting content on the Web
· Prior experience on intranet projects or self-service applications a
plus
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
· Passion for creating usable and effective websites and applications
· Strong communication skills and service-orientation
· Prior experience in a corporate environment and a related Bachelor's
degree preferred
