Coincidentally, that's my job title, along with about 30 others at the
company I work for. Our job descriptions cover pretty much the full
range of roles that people on this list talk about: from classical HCI
through interaction design to "big IA" and all points in between. But
clients don't care about what "type" of IAs we are. They just want us to
deliver a good experience for the people that use their stuff.
I'm not entirely convinced that defining IA around disciplines is very
useful in a commercial context.
