Hmm. Sometimes. As an IA I do a lot of visual design, too, these days.
I've seen it with others as well, especially in smaller projects. I
don't disagree with the basic notion here, that IA as an isolated
academic thing deals with certain aspects of "the whole shebang", but
I'm just stating that for a lot of people doing IA the edges are a bit
blurry. This wasn't a problem, for example, when I was a consultant in
a bigger team, but they are way blurry these days.
