[Sigia-l] Being considerate of others (Off Topic Posts)

This distinction has had me on the verge of unsubscribing several times.
Many of those topics would be better suited for a "User Interaction Design"
or "User Experience" list.  Personally, I consider Information Architecture
to be a distinct skill set.  However, I also believe that there are very
few people who engage in "pure IA"; IA is merely a skill set that they use
in conjunction within a larger UI function.  In today's world, a "jack of
all trades" is much more valuable than a specialist.  I'm sure that's why
some people just label themselves a "designer" without identifying what
they design - whether it's designing an architecture to organize
information, a web site, a web application, consumer electronics,
swimsuits, mini-skirts, kitchens, bathrooms, or high-rise office buildings.

I'd love to see some discussions on topics that you've suggested; however,
I have this feeling that the folks who might be able to contribute have
unsubscribed...
