Forget about design for a moment - the article is the embodiment of
everything that is wrong with the internet - there is a complete lack of
understanding of, well, most things. I actually thought it had more to do
with pimping .NET as a scalable server solution, but perhaps that's
because I view the site as MS' answer to Guy Kawasaki (Apple evangelist)
minus the talent.
There is no proof of a causal relationship between the sites adsense
performance and it's visual design. Reading the comments it is more
probable the performance is linked with the offer (free dating service),
and the SEO manipulation (e.g. keyword loaded alt tags), both of which
have nothing to do with (visual) design.
