Bestica Inc is helping a leading financial organization in San Antonio to
fill a Business Continuity (BC)/ Disaster Recovery (DR) Coordinator
position. 
Individual with hands on IT background will be preferred. The individual
should have experience in writing both BC and DR plans, especially within
the IT department. This individual will be backfilling other team members
who will be devoting much of their time to the creation of BC plans for
various teams, but it is likely the individual will also be asked to help
with this workload. It is highly preferred that this person be a CBCP
(Certified Business Continuity Planner) from DRII. Data Center and System
Recovery Background people will be preferred.
 
 
 
Here are some potential work assignments: 
 
Assistance with Application DR plans 
 
1. Assessment of current App DR plans 
 
2. Assessment of needs discussion with IT Groups
 
3. Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) / Application Impact Analysis
 
4. Facilitate the development of new plans 
 
5. Plan validation
 
Assistance with Business Continuity Plans for IT Teams 
 
1. Participate as a member of the IT DR project team to develop BC plans for
IT Groups 
 
2. Facilitate BIA development 
 
3. Facilitate BC plan development 
 
4. Plan validation 
 
Assistance with improving / creating our existing BC/DR program metrics 
Assistance with the review / maintenance / development of IT event response 
plans 
Assistance / participation in various Disaster Recovery Exercises.
