In a perfect world nothing would change. :-)
Which would make Design impossible or irrelevant. Change management (the art
and science of balancing clients' and users' needs) is what Design is all
about.
So Designers love change. Change is good. Change is fun. Change is our
employer. Designers embrace change. Designers thrive on change. And
Designers get paid delivering on change.
When change comes our way, take a deep breath, shake loose, exhale and
move...when everybody else is paralyzed with fear, uncertainty and
indecision.
(You know this was coming :-) And this why I crusade against the notion of
best practices, which strips change of its specific context. Change
management uncontextualized is Intelligent Design.
