Speaking of numbers, it ought to be a happy day for those in need of another
example of why design sells:

Market Cap:    
AAPL $72.13 billion
DELL $71.97 billion

Yes, the Dell, the company that has come to symbolize the commoditization of
the PC industry whose founder told Steve Jobs to shut down Apple and return
the money to shareholders and whose current CEO characterized the iPod as a
fad, has been over taken by that very company that has come to symbolize all
things designs in this country, Apple.

In other words, the market values higher a company with a <5% market share
than the biggest PC company with 4 times the revenue. The fact that Dell
spends less on R&D than Apple should come as no surprise.

Hopefully, when the next time your boss or a client asks why they should
