Hi all,

I was wondering if it is a good usability practice to
include navigation paths to web pages in the
documentation. Or is it just better to design a site
map for the online tool.

Here's an example:

Consider, you have a web-based tool and users are
having a hard time navigating to the web pages for
performing a task. For instance, user submits a leave
request using a HRMS tool and supervisor approves the
request using the same tool. Should the navigation
paths be listed in the documentation or should a site
map be included in the tool?

The reason why the users are facing navigation
problems might be because of the numerous functions
available with the tool.

An example of a task and the related nav path:

Task: Submit The Leave Request
Nav Path: Home page > Web Forms > Create > Leave

Thank You,
Dinesh Nair
