[Sigia-l] labeling conundrum debrief

Just in case anyone is interested, I thought I'd report back on how my
"labeling conundrum" turned out. This is the situation where the print
documentation called the top of the page a toolbar and we were
recommending navigation bar.

We met and after much discussion decided that we will move away from
using any specific noun and rely on pictures/arrows but that when
necessary navigation will be called "navigation features" and
"toolbar" will be gradually decommissioned.

Ultimately I feel pretty satisfied with the decision and I don't feel
like any political capital was burned (well, not from the labeling
itself--I tipped my hand a bit too much in terms of my dubiousness of
the value of documentation....shockingly, documentation experts take
offense at that. Who knew?).
