[Sigia-l] Reminder: Battle of the Interfaces (Amsterdam IA Cocktail Hour)

Hi,

[This is a reminder of the upcoming Amsterdam IA Cocktail Hour, to be held
this Wednesday (February 15, 2006) from 18:00 onwards at the IJ-Kantine.]

Experience shows that if 16 people write to me that they intend to
come to the next Amsterdam IA Cocktail Hour, there's going to be at least 32
and probably shitloads of people ;-) After I sent this morning's reminder to
our Yahoo!Group[1], an aditional 10 people registered. Anyone else wanna
play?
Wednesday's theme is "Search vs. Browse" or, in other words, "The Battle of
the Interfaces". I have just seen Elsevier Science's presentation and it
looks great! I'm inclined to give their search interface Scopus a half-point
advantage against Medialab's Aquabrowser...

So, once more, the dirty details:

If you come by bike or public transport, I suggest you take the 17:45 or
18:15 pedestrian ferry at the back of Centraal Station to NDSM-werf; it
lands right in front of IJ-Kantine.
