Well, you've managed to capture the insipid insularity of the Venn-diagram
approach to creativity in a single sentence. Bravo.
So there's this discussion "started" by IAs, and by inference presumably
owned by them, and how dare a "designer" barge in? Shouldn't "designers"
just stay in their own territory? Isn't title crossing a felony in at least
38 states?
I used to design applications before the web or the IA label came to being
and I still design them. I do pretty much what I did then that I do now,
with better tools and understanding, of course. I used to call myself a
designer then and I call myself one now. Boring, eh? Well, I don't have a
territory to protect.
