What other "creation" services are there that explicitly ignore empathy?
Incidentally, I've seen and heard of many doctors with as much empathy as a
doorknob; and there are many, many lawyers with hearts of gold who tend to
the needy. Lawyers have many constituents during the course of their
"workflow:" clients who hire them, judges, juries, the Bar, peers, partners,
etc. Thoughtful lawyers are always beset by the notion of focusing on the
client's immediate legal problem vs. "advancing the law"" in some manner
that, they think, will benefit us all. These often require contradictory
strategies and, even, outcomes. In that sense, lawyers are very much like
designers who work work clueless companies: do you go after expediency or
advance design practice/principles?
