Dear European IAs!

Registration for the second European-wide Information Architecture
Summit is now in full swing at www.euroia.org (discounts for ASIST
members). It will be held on September 30 - October 1, 2006 on the
famous Friedrichstrasse in Berlin, Germany – just a short walk from
the legendary Checkpoint Charlie.

With the theme of “Building Our Practice” this year’s Summit provides
European web professionals with a unique opportunity to meet new
people, share their experiences, and learn valuable new techniques
for creating web applications that provide true business value.

One of the highlights will be the keynote speech by Manchester,
England’s own favourite son, Peter Morville, author of the
best-selling Ambient Findability. All in all, there will be almost 30
presentations and posters from 10 European nations during the two-day
event.

Other high profile speakers include Steven Pemberton, a major force
in the World Wide Web Consortium; Bogo Vatovec, an expert on content
for mobile devices; and Ariel Guersenzvaig, who will describe
persuasive communication techniques that help convert users into
customers.

Early registration is now open at www.EuroIA.org, where you’ll also
find the full conference programme, speakers’ biographies, hotel
details, and other useful information.

Schönen grüß aus Europa!
