Hi,

The message below is sent on behalf of Marta Rey, CHI2007 Communication
Chair.

Courses and Workshop's deadline is September 1st.

Jean Scholtz and Susan Palmiter, CHI-Courses Co-Chairs, invite you to make a
course submission:

'CHI 2007 will again offer courses as part of the technical program. We
encourage experts in their field to propose courses in design, education,
engineering, management, research, and usability. The goal of these courses
is to allow those taking a course to reach beyond...beyond their community
and beyond their current areas of expertise. We encourage experts in the
various community areas of CHI to propose courses to CHI2007.'

Margaret Burnett and JJ Cadiz, CHI-Workshops Co-Chairs, invite you to
propose a workshop:

'Workshops are a chance for members of a community with common interests to
meet in the context of a focused discussion. If you are working in an
emerging area in HCI, consider organizing a workshop. They are a chance to
move the field forward and build community. CHI workshops might address
basic research, applied research, HCI practice, new methodologies, emerging
application areas, design innovations, management and organizational issues,
or HCI education. Each workshop should generate ideas that give the HCI
community a new, organized way of thinking about the topic, or ideas that
suggest promising directions for future research. Some workshops result in
edited books or special issues of journals; you may consider including this
goal in the design of your workshop.'
