The holy grail is not in metadata but in the ability to
associate/relate/aggregate/etc even in the absence of metadata.

You may have all the metadata in the world stuffed into your site and get
absolutely no traffic or you may have literally zero metadata and get
millions if you have something others find worthwhile.

It's in the relationships, degrees of association, contextual similarity,
etc. This and metadata are not mutually exclusive, of course, as they are
complementary, but explicit declaration of metadata (marketing) is likely
not all that useful.
