This is EXACTLY why I switched back to PC for work.
Examples of the IE only stuff I use at work:
defect management
expense reporting
payroll & time-off management
timesheets
requirements management software
As a hosted enterprise solution provider I can tell you that we tried
really hard to NOT do Windows IE only stuff, but there are somethings
where it just became necessary to do it that way. I think one of the
biggest problems when building web-based software apps is that Java
JVM is just not good enough compared to .NET. it is still very clunky
comparatively speaking and the new stuff in Vista seems to be that
much better as well.
