I confess... I like the app., but I already have a database on my palm to keep track of my books, cds and dvds (for the curious, I use handDbase). For me it's worth the effort because I forget what I own, so online tools are much help. And no, my socks are not stacked like cords of wood.  :)
 
I suspect the peeps at Library Thing are looking to do a community spin since the site allows comments.
