My client in Sunrise, FL is seeking a Senior and Mid Level Information Architect for their web based product suite. I have included the job description in hopes that you or someone you know may be interested in this exciting opportunity. The company is extremely profitable and the work being done is leading edge as the actual creative minds that conceptualized and brought this to market are still key players within the organization. Information Architect:
Summary: Collaborates with product managers, developers and business owners on User Interface requirements for software applications, web interfaces, and other interface-based products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Defines, prototypes, and documents highly usable interfaces to meet requirements.
Creates and revises information architecture documents and diagrams including but not limited to; concept diagrams, site maps, audience profiles and user scenarios, site content inventory, functional requirements/page mockups, and navigational prototypes.
Interacts regularly with product end users, developers, and management assuring that concerns and needs of each group are met.
Performs usability testing which includes aspects such as consistency, user-centered navigation, logical structure, page design, response time, user support and learnability.
Measures effectiveness of applications by performing usability testing, task analysis and other measurement methodologies.
Makes program recommendations and assists with the implementation of such recommendations.
Operates within an established design and development process.

Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university, preferably in Information Design, Human Interface, or Graphic Design degree. Three (3) to six (6) years experience in user centered design with a focus on information architecture. Two (2) to three (3) years experience focused as software information architect. Must be experienced in designing user interfaces for software and complex web applications within a development team.

I have an open position in Ann Arbor MI or Westmont Ill for a Pre-Sales Information Architect. This is an agency environment and my client is growing by leaps and bounds. My client is seeking someone with I/A skills (wire frames, process flows, Visio) that can support the Business Development group. They need to have heavy experience in requirements gathering and extremely strong client communication skills. There will be about 25-35% travel involved. There is a base salary (salary based on experience) and either a bonus or commission plan along with excellent benefits.

The Senior Information Architect will be part of the my clients Internet online group responsible for converging customers’ needs and business goals into great experiences delivered through the company web site. The Senior IA will work with the Information Architecture and Usability team to create innovative design solutions with proven techniques, build the information architecture practice internally and lead the design of great customer experiences for my client.
Experience and Qualifications
Ability to translate business goals into UI requirements; understanding of business strategy and values, good grasp of metrics associated with UI performance, ability to extract relevant information from stakeholders, competence communicating with a multi-disciplinary team and leadership to drive the project vision to the extended team throughout the design process
Ability to translate user data into actionable information; experience with user research methods used to gather qualitative and quantitative data: contextual inquiry, market segmentation analysis, persona development, usage log analysis, scenario development and task analysis, etc and practice in evaluating features and requirements on a value basis using user research as underlying reasoning
Ability to design and communicate information architecture decisions; talent to converge business goals and user needs into a conceptual framework that defines the user experience and convey its structure and behavior through context-relevant software-agnostic deliverables
Ability to test and iterate design solutions; experience planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting formal and informal end-user testing, utilizing prototypes (rough drafts and sketches, paper prototypes, working prototypes) and live versions
Passion for the information architecture practice; knowledge and commitment to tutor other team members, interest in exploring new directions for information architecture (Enterprise IA, Folksonomies, Rich Apps, etc) and involvement and contribution to the information architecture community
Experience handling non-design issues; ability to delegate tasks, manage time and deadlines, resolve everyday problems (deliverable exchange, formats, fonts, printing) and wisdom to ask for help when needed
Creativity and resourcefulness; ability to self-motivate and remain enthusiastic in face of adversity, constant perusal of better methods and processes, and persistence in growing and improving oneself
5+ years experience leading the IA/UX component of at least 3 large-scale web projects, degree in a related field, such as HCI, business, design, library or cognitive science
