Most managers seem to think that if something is truly outstanding, it 
must have cost too much to produce, and this triggers blamestorming 
behaviour. They are trained to look for the long-term strategy of the 
barely adequate, instead of going for the truly exceptional. For myself, 
life is too short for beige.
