I had emailed John off list to suggest that "any CURRENT software"
would be more applicable.
It is true, that as the ability to rapidly analyze ever larger data
sets to reach conclusions comes to fruition, many activities
currently performed by computers could be perceived as "analysis"
rather than simple data matching.
There is the larger point of discussion of whether or not a machine
activity is akin to the activity of the human brain, but that's more
of a philosophical issue and this is more of a practical venue.
