Yes, but we're not talking about them, are we?

I referred to "retail-level open source software" and Robertson refers to OS
software that's to be packaged to compete with off-the-shelf commercial
apps.

Don't short change yourself. :-)

On a more serious note, to reiterate my point, a frightening percentage of
open source developers neither care about nor quite understand, and rarely
ever start with Design. What deeply offends me in Robertson's approach is
this the notion that what's broken is not fundamental design but packaging
and marketing. Someone should remind him that the days of MP3.com and dotcom
are over.
